Lessons You Need to Learn - Therapist Analysis of Blue Eye Samurai!
I've always been torn on Homelander being the "villian"...yeah, he's a complete psychopath but he is 100% a product of his environment. He has never know a normal life, so how doesn't anyone expect him to resemble ANYTHING normal? The 1st few episodes he's simply protecting those he sees as important...but he wasnt the bad guy.
The notion that Sir Pentious might be more comfortable performing in front of an audience makes him leaning on doing something for the entire club every time he gets anxious in front of Cherry that much more real. He put on an act when he got into the hotel that helped his public image rather than other character's 1-on-1 perceptions, and doing grandiose things in front of a large group of people is probably his social coping mechanism
moving on
day 109 of asking for Bungou Stray Dogs
Thanks for another great helluva boss video ✨
I always loved jinx in the game, it’s crazy how people with similar issues tend to gravitate towards eachother. She used to be my main character for several months back in highschool lol
I choked up and teared halfway thru this… yeesh… I always felt a little feminine with my fear of abandonment so I’d often ignore or push it to the side, distract myself in different ways… it’s not easy to deal with and even gets displayed in your relationships as an adult…. Just be careful bc people will use that to exploit you.
I do think during full moon stolas hasnt been really explanatory to blitz in a way that blitz would actually understand. Honestly their relationship is one big mess that i wish they can actually talk about.
I started getting a little sweaty around the part homelander was talking to all the pieces of himself after shattering the mirror. I have bad identity issues and having all those pieces inside of you only complicates things even further, especially when you have to parent yourself… why is this killer so relatable
these are my comfort videos i love them🍓
This is a weird request, but can you make a video dissecting a political conversation on an emotional level while ignoring the politics.
“If you don’t love yourself and you expect others will see you the same way then you’ll prevent yourself from seeking what you truly want, or even worse if you happen to find what you want you’ll self sabotage because it’s easier to take the first stone if you’re the one throwing it.” Awesome concept, thank you!!
EEE I LOVE THIS VIDEO❤❤❤
hehe so happy you do = )
Waiiit I recognise that look.... ARE YOU DOING LUTE?!?!?!🤩🤩🤩
yes I was
Are you okay Georgia In the video there were several points where it sounded like you were going to cry hope everything is okay
This analysis is absolutely brilliant. I did not realize til this very moment the shark rocket was her tribute to Silco. I honestly thought it was just her infusing psychotic whimsy into her design. This breakdown makes me love this show even more than I already do!
I get that it’s frustrating for Stolas to not read the signs when it’s needed, but tbf, he’s always been a caregiver even when he suffers for it for years. I think he has the right to turn off his body language reader this one time and think of himself for once. For years he’s been selfless, obedient, and taking care of everyone around him. I think it’s fair to allow him to have fun.
Homelander's need for love and connection, even when he tries to push it away, plus his fear of abandonment is more so Borderline than NPD he has tendencies but I don't think that he's solely a Sociopathic Narc.
In all honesty, Martha was just business, so I doubt BlitzØ really cared either way.
I love this. Thank you
The house, Casa, chose Marbella to be the next leader of the family, that's how I felt it was acting alongside the magics/gifts.
I find it ironic that in an anti-Blitzø party, him shouting and screaming in frustration isn't even out of place. He hates himself just as much if not MORE than most of the people attending the party, that's the saddest part. If he didn't hate himself so much, I don't even think this annual "celebration" would even be possible
4:45 I only just realized how absolutely PISSED Vaggie looks seeing Emily holding Charlie’s hands and I can’t tell if it’s a “Get away from my girl” response or a “Heaven sucks and I need Charlie to stop being so delighted by it” response (I’m thinking the first one tho cuz she doesn’t look as angry a couple seconds before here)
As someone with quiet bpd, I absolutely believe that Homelander has bpd and possibly covert narcissism. I don't really blame him for what he did at that facility.
I love how you pretty much just described Adam as a excersize tool
Your videos are fascinating, I watch them from beginning to end. Also I LOVE that you gift us the little live reaction bubble of you as you watch. :P
that makes me so happy = ) i hope you continue to enjoy them
I love aaallll of these videos. Have you ever thought of looking into Supernatural? That shows gives a lot of terrible examples of how to deal with interpersonal and family relations lmao
You are a brave therapist. Homelander would be such a challenge...
Have to disagree when it comes to the split mirror scene. The figure at the top that was quiet and tactily agreeing with the lower heads imo was Homelander 's _psychopathy_
Ah, self hatred. Hello, old friend.
Daddy called him weak. AHHHHHH
Stolas was actively harming Blitzø by completely ignoring the power imbalance between them. He set the rules for what their relationship was and Blitzø followed the standard that was set. Stolas was oblivious to what his actions looked like to Blitzø because he ingored the power imbalance to Blitzø and just assumed Blitzø would know he saw him as an equal while treating him in a way that would look to anyone in Blitzø's position like he was looking down on him. Sarcastic Chorus has a couple good videos on this.
I think its important to point out that his need for acceptance was engineered.
im pretty sure vizie stated hes autistc and rubber ducks are his special interest
this scene was probably one of the best so far in the boys because of how they incorporated the graphic content seamlessly into the context of homelander's revenge quest. Every act of torture was designed to mirror how he was experimented on and treated. Barbara likely has advanced psychologic training allowing her to manipulate homelander (as well as maternal presence that keeps him from killing her possibly due to conditioning), however it failed when homelander executed the rest of her staff by hand as a show of control over barbara and locked her inside with the remains like the animals they used to leave him with. Absolutely brilliant on all levels, of writing and storytelling, i can't wait to see Homelander's continued spiral in season 4
No toxic masculinity does not exist, it’s a political term.
day 108 of asking for Bungou Stray Dogs
1:47 Wasn't he about to apologize last episode?
Homelander is broken because he was raised by a corporation as a product.
Black Noir's little cartoon buddies were the most reassuring and simultaneously unsettling things about his character. He did the most violent, brutal murders and we can see that they impacted him emotionally (arguably more brutal than Homelander's because they were so hands-on), but knowing that he was able to pacify himself like this is so unsettling.
I need you to be my therapist
This made me cry all over again
Love your cute costumes😍
Interesting... Does lack of smell, or rather the ability to smell have an adverse effect on emotional development??? I saw a tiktok about a year ago, that showed people basically pulling up on their nostrils with their fingers...thereby allowing better airflow... And people in the video were so surprised. That this is how normal people could so easily breath through their nose... Basically, finding out you had a deviated septum. I checked my nose and yup...I was surprised too... and I was low key pissed... I had suspected I had a deviated septum already. As I never had much of a sense of smell. I mean I could smell bad things...like skunks.... But, for the most part, I was unable to smell things as well as others... And even bad smells didn't seem to bother me as much as others... Like body odor... I could smell it, and sometimes in was pungent...but it just smelled like people...not necessarily bad... (to me) But, I also realized I had no memories based on scent? I found this troubling. I wonder if this has contributed to why I am the way I am....
You should totally revisit Blitz since the events of Blue Moon and Apology tour because ... _wow,_ That poor imp is DAMAGED
Yes we did exactly that in the latest video - hope you enjoy it
Could you do Amity from The Owl house? Also love your video <3
Yo why aren't there more comments about your cosplay though, I love hte breakdown and Alastor is cool but I always love your cosplays and how into it you get. And yes, your mic accent was hella cute, I don't think it was a fail at all!
Aww thx !!!
I think homelander locked her in the room with all that bodies is hos way of telling her: "You did this they followed your orders so you are also responsible for their death" Also I think that smile means I did it I killed my abusers so the weaknesses I had are over that that part of my past is behind me and now I can be happy
I realized just now that perhaps the reason why Homelander knows exactly what to say to his son is because Soldier Boy taught him exactly what not to say. Having overtly abusive parents creates more of an impetus to change as an adult…subtly abusive and neglectful parents cause more damage long term. Was your dad like Soldier Boy?
Angels episode was extremely uncomfortable. And I’m glad it was, it really pulled you into the story.
